KC Museum’s Anniversary Celebration

In celebration of being open for 75 years, the Kern County Museum threw a garden party for the ages, just like the ones that were popular the year they opened. Vintage cars were parked on the grounds while a fashion show featuring period-appropriate clothing took place. A band played music perfect for swing dancing while attendees enjoyed a catered dinner.

La Costa Mariscos

Alex Joya is focused on two things: providing an optimal experience for his guests and staff while they’re in his care and improving upon a legacy. “In 1992, my mom decided to open up a restaurant, La Costa Mariscos, and I was a part of it just a few weeks after it opened,” he began. As the successful business flourished, so did his role, and he now oversees everyday operations as the general manager.
