Global Family, a Bakersfield nonprofit, rescues and cares for abused, oppressed, and abandoned children in India and Nepal. Tragically, the window to find those kids is often less than 96 hours.

If you find your upper lip surprisingly bare at the moment, and you’re looking to attend Taft’s 100th birthday party this year, it’s high time you tossed the razor into the trashcan (unless, you know, you’re a woman). For without that bristly friend, you won’t be truly accepted at Oildorado Days, taking place this year from October 15th to the 24th.

You may even know the organization’s history—how it’s the first nonprofit organization in history to complete its original mission. But are you aware that in addition to making sure that premature babies have all the medical resources they need, the March of Dimes seeks to ensure all babies are born healthy?

The competition heats up as grillers from all over the Southwest come to Bakersfield to support this local charity.
