Mark L. Schamblin, MD has a long track record of professional and compassionate care. He is well respected for his care and concern for his patients, as shown through his bedside manner. An expert in his field, Dr. Schamblin received his Bachelor’s degree in biology from Pepperdine University, graduating with Honors. He went on to earn his medical degree from Saint Louis University and completed his internship and an orthopedic surgery residency at University of California Irvine. His education was completed with a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI), concentrating on shoulder and elbow.
A leading local expert for shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder, knee, and elbow surgery, Dr. Schamblin is now a partner at SCOI and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a candidate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Schamblin works alongside Todd Shapiro, MD, another noted sports medicine physician. A graduate of Chicago Medical School, he completed a fellowship at University of Southern California and specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery. Also well known for his empathetic bedside manner, Drs.
