Beef, Chicken or Veggies? First off I would choose the veggies. I grew up on garden vegetables from my grandparent’s garden, so any really good meal must have veggies (peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, and of course a nice salad). For the meat course I would choose seafood, it reminds me of sitting on the beach!
Charcoal or Gas? Charcoal for a long slow proper cook, gas in a quick pinch.
Beer or Wine? Let us have a nice red blend with a delicious meal, it will bring out the flavors in the food.
Pool, Patio or Tailgate? Jump from the PATIO into the POOL!! Why not enjoy both on a hot summer day. I spend countless hours outside under my patio, and when the heat gets to be too much, I do a nice belly flop into the sparkling pool!
To be the host or be hosted? My family is italian/Irish, which means we like to cook, entertain, and be the center of attention! I will cook, all you have to do is entertain me and eat.
Your go-to side dish to bring? Asian Fusion Kale Salad- kale, fresh garlic, orange flesh, cut almonds, salt & pepper, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and the secret ingredient…Soyaki teriyaki sauce (just a cap full).
Do you follow a family recipe or MacGyver it? First off I am always impressed when someone knows MacGyver. I look at recipes to get ideas then amend them to my own style and tastes.
What’s the secret to your secret sauce? Fresh herbs. Homemade chimichurri sauce is really simple to prepare. Parsley, oregano, crushed red pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, red wine vinegar, S&P. It is so fresh and vibrant that you will swear you are down on the Argentine Pampas!
