Beef, Chicken or Veggies? Chicken is my absolute favorite! So it is always a fun time whenever chicken is served at a BBQ!
Beer or Wine? Wine because it is a great way to get the fun at a BBQ going! An added bonus is that you can put frozen fruit in the glass to keep the wine from getting warm and increase the flavor.
Pool, Patio or Tailgate? I like all three choices, but I would have to pick the pool.
To be the host or be hosted? Hosted because I am able to sit back, relax, and enjoy myself rather than worrying about the details of the BBQ.
Your go-to side dish to bring? My go-to side dish to bring is my No Bake Cherry Cheesecake. Yummy!
Do you follow a family recipe or MacGyver it? I tend to use a family recipe because I would hate to experiment and end up taking a dish that did not taste good or look appealing.
What’s the secret to your secret sauce? My lips are sealed! My advice is to just enjoy the sauce and do not ask!
Rate your grill skills (10 being a “grill master”)? I would rate myself at a 5. I know that I need more practice because at times I overcook the food and get a burnt version of what I was meaning to cook.
3 words to describe your dance moves: Energetic, Sexy, and Fun.
Craziest place you’ve ever been kissed? The craziest place I have been kissed was on a roller coaster just before a huge drop. It was completely unexpected and it startled me because I was too busy concentrating on the upcoming drop. Even though it was nice, he is lucky I did not slap him for scaring me!
Instagram or Snapchat? Even though I recently got a Snapchat account, I would have to say that I am an Instagram kind of girl. I find it easier to use and I am not on Snapchat as much as I am on Instagram.
Musical instrument you played as a kid? Unfortunately I never learned to play an instrument as a kid due to being involved in dance, gymnastics, and other various sports. This is something I regret not doing. As an adult, it would be nice to learn either the piano, guitar, or drums. You never know though… I still have a lot of living to do!
You’re looking to embark upon a thrilling adventure in Kern County. Where do you go/what do you do? I love adventure and live for experiences that make me feel alive. So for my Kern County adventure, I would go to Taft and go Skydiving! This type of activity is right up my alley and surprisingly I have yet to do it. I think it would be amazing to get that adrenaline rush and feel like Wonder Woman flying in the air.
Name something from your bucket list: One thing from my bucket list that I would love to do is to play a Walker on The Walking Dead! It would be exciting to get a behind the scenes look on the show’s production and be on set with the amazing cast and crew. Plus, it would be awesome to be made into a zombie by the show’s excellent costume designers and makeup artists. I am more than certain that I would be the best Walker that the show has ever had!
What or who inspires you to be a better person? My dad, he is the true definition of a hero. He is strong, patient, caring, hard working, funny, and has an impact on everyone that he meets. I admire his unselfish ways and consideration for others. He puts the needs of his family and loved ones before his own. He has always been there for me during the good and bad times; even donating his kidney to me without hesitation. I only hope that I can be as caring and wonderful as him. I am so blessed to have such a positive role model to help me become a better version of myself.
Favorite local charity or non-profit event? My favorite is the Toys for Tots Toy Drive during Christmas-time. I enjoy seeing the community come together to donate toys and their time to make a child’s holiday a little brighter.
One thing you couldn’t live without? One thing I could not live without is my cell phone. It is the way that I stay connected and interact with others through phone calls, texts, emails, and social media. My phone also allows me to read books, research what I need to online, be updated on current events, act as a watch, access directions, and always know the scores of my favorite teams. Looking back, I do not know how I managed before iPhones were invented!
TV show you are obsessed with? The Walking Dead! I love this show due to the fact that the whole entire production is well executed and I get fully involved with the storyline. I feel as if I am watching a mini movie each week. I never miss an episode and I will not answer my phone until the show is over. P.S. – If a Zombie Apocalypse was to ever happen… I would definitely survive!
Favorite local place for a first date? My favorite local place for a first date is 1933. It is a cool place to have nice conversation and get to know someone over dinner and then dance the night away at the club. It just has an overall inviting and great atmosphere that can help one deal with first date jitters.
On talk like a pirate day – what’s you’re favorite thing to say (in pirate of course)? Stay away from my booty ye son of a sea biscuit!
