Turn on: smile, brain, or build? Smile, then by a close second the brain, and then his build.
Worst habit: I am too hard on myself. I am a recovering perfectionist.
Best trait: Friendship. I am loyal to a fault.
Pet peeve: People with low emotional intelligence.
Three things you look for in a relationship: Only three? Geesh…then they have to be integrity, have a sense of humor, and confidence.
What are you most grateful for? My son, Dylan, and my strength.
Do you prefer email, text, or real conversation? I love to talk, so real conversation is the best. There is something about eye contact and seeing someone’s body language you can’t get with texting or emailing.
If you had to pick one ’80s movie to summarize your overall view on love, what would it be? It would definitely be St. Elmo’s Fire. The theme is probably still the same for today: “Seven friends, recent college graduates, are searching for a place in ‘the real world,’ as they face issues of career and commitment. Against the backdrop of St. Elmo’s, their local hang-out, they save, betray, and love one another as only closest of friends can.”
Which of the Seven Dwarfs do you relate to the most? Ask anyone…it would be Happy.
Dancing or karaoke? Love to watch karaoke. My perfectionism prevents me from participating. If I did perform, I would have to have the perfect song and a dance routine to go along with it.

What has been the best dance craze to ever hit pop culture and when was the last time you did it? It will always be Thriller by Michael Jackson. I did it at a wedding reception a couple of years ago.
You have the chance to create your own robot. What are its special capabilities? I would love a robot that would make me coffee in the morning and do my hair and makeup while I drank my coffee.
What is the most romantic spot in Bakersfield? I love Prairie Fire at The Padre.

Name one item that’s on your Bucket List: Month long trip to Italy to go to a cooking school while drinking wine, eating cheese and pasta the whole time!
Tell us your most impressive bit of Bakersfield trivia: Years ago, before American Jewelry Company was located in Oak Park Tower (at the corner of Oak and 21st St), the fifth floor was a penthouse home with a pool. The owners even had a pet mountain lion!

Favorite local cause: The Bakersfield Homeless Center, of course. I also am on the board of two other great nonprofits: Honor Flight Kern County and the Jim Burke Education Foundation, as well as serving as the Honorary Chair of this year’s American Cancer Society Gala.
Favorite local event: There are so many great events but I do love how the community comes together for Relay for Life.

Worst habit: I am kind of messy.
