And we really like that photograph of the Stooges and ask him why it has a place in his collection.
“I used to pal around with the Three Stooges before they were the really big deal they became later,” says Ray, “back when they worked in Fresno,” and he moves on to his next recollection.
How’s that again? You mean, the real Three Stooges, as in nyuck-nyuck? Soitinly?
I resemble that remark?
“Yeah,” he said. “They were playing the old State Theater and we kind of hung out together.”
Details, details! Was there any eye-poking involved?
“Nope. Not going to get into that anymore than I’ll tell a story about the backseat of that Willy. Let’s just say, they were every bit as crazy in person as on the screen.”
There is an announcement, of sorts. The museum will now be open a little bit more. Not for regular hours, but as groups request.
